PETERSEN MEDIA- Over the last week, Isaac Chapple has competed with the POWRi Midget Series along with new crew chief, Jason Goacher, in preparations of the upcoming USAC Indiana Midget Week, and after four races, Chapple feels good about the direction that he and Goacher are heading.

“I think we are starting to click after a few nights together, and I am very excited to kick off Indiana Midget Week,” he said. “It’s a week I have always wanted to compete in, and hopefully we can have some fun and do well.”

Dating back to last week, Chapple was in action at the Bloomington Speedway. After showing speedway in hot laps, Chapple found himself in the back of his heat by way of random pill draw, and after failing to make the transfer, he was forced to run the B main.

In the B main, Chapple couldn’t get the drive forward he was looking for, as the track continued to go away. The end result was an early night, as he was unable to transfer into the feature event.

Heading to the Brownstown Speedway, Chapple again pulled a high pill putting him in the back of his heat race, and he narrowly missed out on the transfer into the feature event.

Racing very well in the B Main, Chapple worked into the fifth spot, when he lost the handle on his machine, and looped it, and ended his night.

“We were really good a Brownstown, but the driver got in the way of a good racecar, and took us out of contention to run in the feature event.”

Heading to Illinois with the series, Chapple hit the Lincoln Speedway on Friday night, and starting at the tail of his heat race, Chapple was able to work his way forward to a third place finish, and put himself in the fourth row of the feature event.

The start of the race was hectic for Chapple as he tangled with a car getting into the first corner, and he was relegated to the back of the pack.

Continuing to show speed, Chapple worked his way back up into the Top-10 with just a few laps remaining, and as fate would have it, a car in front of him got into an infield tire and spun, and with nowhere to go, Chapple hit him, and ended his night with front end damage.

“Though we didn’t have the results we were looking for, I am pleased with the speed we were able to find on Friday night,” he said. “I know we had a Top-Five car, and hopefully we can transfer that over to Indiana Midget Week.”

Isaac Chapple Racing would like to thank CFH Enterprises, AR Jackson Plumbing, Brown’s Roofing, Quality Walls and Ceilings, VMS Motorsports, Ultimate Offroad, Paint By Steve and Gale Enameling,  and Indy Race Parts for their support.
