PETERSEN MEDIA- Taking his lumps during his rookie season with the USAC National Midget Tour, Isaac Chapple is able to learn from his rough nights, and improve, and over the past week in Kansas, Chapple scored an 8th place finish in Beloit, KS before finishing 14th in the famed Belleville Midget Nationals.

“It has been a rough year, and tearing up equipment is not the way to do it,” Chapple said. “This past weekend in Kansas was good to us, and something to build on for sure.”

Tuesday night at the Solomon Valley Raceway in Beloit, KS Chapple kicked his night off by timing the CFH Enterprises/AR Jackson Plumbing/Brown’s Roofing No. 52c machine in 12th fastest, putting him in the second heat race, where he would finish in the sixth spot.

Lining up in the 12th spot of the feature event, Chapple slowly worked his way forward, until contact while battling for the 10th spot sent him spinning of the track with 10 to go, putting him at the tail end of the field.

Driving with some fire inside of him, Chapple was able to work his way up to the eighth spot when the checkered flew on the event, giving him some confidence, as he headed to the famed Belleville Highbanks.

Timing in 9th fastest during the opener of the Belleville Midget Nationals, Chapple went on to finish fourth in his heat race, putting himself in the feature event.

In a very tough field of cars, the Rookie pilot, held his own with some of midget racing’s best as he picked up a ninth place finish in what was his first night at the high speed facility.

Back in action on Saturday night for the finale, Chapple picked up a fourth place finish in his heat race, which put him in the third row of the night’s second dash, that would set the feature event line up.

Finishing in the fourth spot of the dash, Chapple would grid the field from the 10th spot in the 40-lap feature event.

Mixing it up with some of top Midget drivers in the world, the youngster was able to score a 14th place finish in his first Belleville Midget Nationals.

“Overall we were happy with our results for the rookie run at Belleville,” Chapple said. “It is a very fast joint, and I am happy I got to run there, and get out of there with everything in one piece.  I have to give a huge help to the Popelka family for everything they did for us, and to Will and Red for all of their help at the track.”

Isaac Chapple Racing would like to thank CFH Enterprises, AR Jackson Plumbing, Brown’s Roofing, Quality Walls and Ceilings, VMS Motorsports, Ultimate Off Road, Paint By Steve and Gale Enameling,  and Indy Race Parts for their support.
